I think we will all agree that 2016 was an odd year for lots of differing reasons.
Lots of things happened that had some effect on all of us. In the property market, the things that affected us were the rise in stamp duty for second home purchasers, the cost to borrow money at an all time low, and the uncertainty around the UK leaving the EU, and Trump winning the American elections.
That didn't stop us helping people move. In 2016 we:
- Instructed 234 Properties for sale
- Organised 2,946 viewings
- Dealt with 820 offers on properties
- Completed 181 sales transactions
- Let 100% of our rental instructions
We saw the average completed property sale price in B77 in January 2016 at £171,284 rise to £188,133 in September, that's nearly a 10% rise in 9 months.
Using Land Registry data we were also the only local estate agent to achieve on average more than 100% of a property asking price.
